I bought a 2000 LS with the V8 last week. The transmission is late to engage in reverse and drive no matter 1 2 3 d4 d5. It is almost like it has a stall converter in it. If you feather it a bit it it engages slowly and if you pedal it....it will break your neck. The guy I bought from has the receipts from having the solenoid pack replaced two months ago and fluid and filter changed as well. Through the gears is seems to shift ok all the way to d5. As soon as you stop it goes back to the same problem......
