2001 Lincoln Conti Keyless FOB Problem

Hello everyone I am having a problem with my keyless entry FOB. It all of a sudden isn't working anymore. Nothing on it works - Open, Close, Alarm, Trunk. It is the factory keyless FOB with the ON and OFF selector switch on the back. My door pad code works just fine. Can someone please tell me how to get my keyless FOB back working again. I took this little guy for granted and now I am suffering for it well not actually the convience is gone now and it sucks...

Turn the key in the ignition a bunch of times till the doors lock or unlock, I forget. Then press the lock or unlock on your remote. If you have more than one you will have to program that 1 as well.

Zolemite thank you for the response. What position should the switch be on the back of the FOB? There are 2 selections - ON and OFF

Zolemite I did what you said and it didn't work. Turning the key in the ignition did accomplish the doors locking and unlocking but when I go to program the factory key FOB nothing happened. Is there anything else that I can do?

Yeah, change the batteries.

I think they got them at autozone.

You can get the batteries at any drugstore. They are cheap!!!!! Take out the old battery first to get the number, and go to the store.

Keyless Entry FOB

Hiyas everyone....Guess what??!! All I needed to do was change the batteries and now both of my keyless FOBs work. I would like to thank all of yous guys for all of your help and this forum and yous guys ROCK!!!!!
