2001 Lincoln LS V8 Power steering pump question

My LS was made on 04/01 how do I figure out if my LS has the pressure switch on the pump. Because when I look at the replacement parts I see that two options are available one with a pressure switch hole and one with no hole. My power steering pump sounds like it's starting to go bad because it's making a god awful sound when turning the wheels occasionally (The fluid level is fine so it's not leaking) Thanks in advance!

I think that the best way is to look at your LS and see which it has. If you don't see the switch on the middle of the high pressure line/hose, then it's on the pump.

I guess that in the worst case, if you bought the pump with the switch port and found out that yours is on the hose, you would have to buy a pressure switch and put it on the pump. (There would be no reason to connect it electrically, since you would already have another switch connected.) In the better case, you might find the correct size plug to screw into the hole.

On the other hand, if you buy the pump without the port, and your switch is not on the line, you'd be stuck buying a new high pressure line with switch too.

I called the dealership and gave them my vin they said the pressure switch is on my pump. But thanks for the fast response! I also found out the replacement does not come with a new switch so I guess I will be buying a new one of them as well. I would hate to have to change that later...
