2001 mustang tranny in a 93 mark

hi guys my 1993 mark viii tranny went to :q:q:q:q. and i found a deal on a 2001 gt tranny from a mustang with low miles. what exactly do you have to do to make it work. if someone could send me links that would be great i've read about having to mess with the connectors but haven't found a write up on what exactly to do. also in a 2001 tranny does a j-mode still improve it? thanks
