Hello I have a coolant leak coming from my car. It leaks mostly on the passenger floor but some on driver side too. I have narrowed it down to the return hose to the coolant reservoir on the other side of the car. If it is this hose how can I access it? It look pretty much impossible? Maybe if I take of the tranny? The tranny has o be changed on the car anyway I was thinking bout doin both at one time. Any how to's on how to remove the transmission? Thanks

make sure you empty the swear jar before hand. it fills up quickly.

^ Welcome to OEM pricing. Should see it up here in Canada, yikes!

Ok so I used a pressure tester and found the problem. I can see it leaking under the intake manifold. Best way to describe it is it looks plastic and is more on the driver side under the manifold. Any pictures out there with the coolant system expanded so I can see the hose/pipe under the manifold? I barely can see it but can see the leak visibly. Also a little off topic but the cylinders on this car is like this

Rear
4 8
3 7
2 6
1 5
Front
Driver's side --->

Okay, I give up. What about the thread I linked to?
That's where I figured the leak was. Doesn't mater though. Whatever plastic parts aren't leaking now, will be as soon as you replace the currently leaking ones. (I'll bet that your degas bottle is also one of the currently leaking parts.)

Here Joe, pass me your glass, I'll keep it topped up long enough to get through this one also.

Something about leading a horse to water.......

Over this past summer I had a leak on the passenger side. It turned out to be a leak on the upper radiator hose and on the dccv, i also needed a new thermostat housing.

Ok so this weekend I plan on doing the coolant leak fix but I want the part in hand so I don't have to go days without the car. Based on this picture is looks like I need the "throttle heater hose". Am I guessing correctly because I barely have anyro to see the leak but I do visible see it and it looks like there is a pipe that runs underneath the intake manifold toward the driver side. I am guessing that's the throttle heater hose does hat sound right? I have replaced a lot of the plastic parts on this car already before so I am hoping this is the last of it. Is there more to that throttle hose like a elbow or another pipe or it that just one hose? Also does anyone have the part number to it? Thanks

It's just a hose. It's full part number and picture are in the thread that I linked at post #2 in this thread. If any of the other parts are more than a few years old, you will be very upset when they break during reassembly.
You will also need the intake manifold gaskets. You'll be taking it off to get to that hose.

I can sure tell you it pissed the hell out of me when two other parts just fell apart when I started doing the work after ordering the parts that I though that I needed, then waiting for more part to come, just to have another part break while testing the car after those pieces came in.

I went thru the post but couldn't find the part number I see the first post has them but can't tell which one is the main one I need. Anyone please tell me

I suppose that it is a little unclear.

So I just got that part in and it doesn't seem like this is the right one. Is this really the hose that sits UNDERNEATH. The intake manifold? I want to have the right part before I take it apart it's my daily driveimage.jpg

Well, it's certainly the hose used on both of mine. What about it doesn't seem like the right one to you?
If you really had replaced the commonly failing plastic parts before, you would have had the manifold off and seen why this hose makes the turns that it does.

Do like I do, just keep it in the garage, mostly on stands, replace every single Fn part until totally rebuilt, may take a few decades though.
