I have a 2003 lincoln ls V8 sport with the THX sound system. it has the Navigation touch screen and all of that. My problem is that there is no sound coming from my speakers. The lows are playing but nothing from my mids or highs. Weird I know but this must be a problem with the head unit right? Also, I had a CD error and the screen would not flip. It would begin then it would shut again. After a couple months, it decided that it was going to flip but there isn't any sign of a Cd in the changer. Nothing ejects when i press the button but I can't put a CD in the changer. Would this cause my speakers to blow or a fuse maybe? I would love to hear the feedback on this issue.

My friend had this EXACT same problem. He had a repair insurance policy from his bank so he ended up getting the whole unit replaced for free. I know he said it wasn't a fuse though.

All the speakers (not counting the sub-woofers) are powered by a four channel amp in the trunk, on the left side. It has its own fuse. I think from your symptoms that its more likely to be a problem with the four channel amp than with the head unit.

agreed, i would think that most of the problems that would cause a no sound issue inside the head unit would also effect the subwoofer (not all, but most)

i also would not think that a CD error of any kind would cause a issue with either amp, ford indash 6 disc changers are known for having a high failure rate.
