2003 navigator spitting and sputtering?

Hello everyone, I have a 2003 navigator that has 80,000 miles on it and over the last few months a lot of stuff has been acting up? The first thing is that a couple of times I would be driving and all of the electrical would just cut out and within a few seconds it would pop back on? That only happened a few times but now the light on the dash says that there's a door ajar but there really isn't? The most important thing that has been happening a lot lately is under acceleration the truck surges and sputters almost like it has a severe engine miss but if that was the case why doesn't the check engine light ever come on? It has done this since I bought it 2 years ago with 60,000 but back then it only happened a couple of times and when we took it to the dealer it didn't do (of course) and they found nothing. It's getting to the point where I have to really get this thing cleaned up and take better care of it and I need to start with the surging problem. Thanks for any help you guys

For the door ajar message, one of the sensors are stuck/malfunctioning. Take some WD40 to the door jams on each door, really spray in there good. If that doesn't clear it then one of the sensor are broken. The sputtering....... I'm about 99% sure it's the coils. Mine started acting up awhile back and I'm at 94k on an 03 Navi. You won't always get a light mine took awhile to come on also. Best bet is to buy a set of coils on ebay and change them all w/ spark plugs. 4 have gone out on me 1 by 1 of course, at the time i didn't have the money so i bought them 1 at a time.
