Hello,
I have a 2004 lincoln ls 3.9L v8. I bought this car about 1.5 yrs ago and it has given me nothing but problems. Here's what i got at the moment that i would like some insight on.

Vehicle would start, would rev very slowly up to 3k and stop (took about 15 sec to get to 3k). When put into drive or reverse the car would jerk forward and die. I took off the intake to look at the plate and when you give it throttle the throttle plate would not move. So this is what i did: I took out the throttle body, tested it using an external power source of 5v and the throttle plate opens and closes as it should. So i put the throttle body back in the car and now it is worse.

Now it runs with an idle of 500 rpm, it is in ETC Fail Sade mode, and the engine is shaking very ecstatically.

I took the COP covers off and tried disconnecting each coil one at a time to see if there was a coil that was interfering with the fly by wire of the throttle body but i got no change in performance. I am running out of ideas on how i can fix this lincoln.

Any suggestions? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Start by replacing all coils and spark plugs at one time. You test of disabling one at a time is invalid as you likely have multiple marginal coils.
You may very well also find that you have damaged the throttle body with the test that you did. The PCM will not move the throttle if it thinks there is a problem with the control of it, or with the gas pedal sensors. What exact (five character) OBDII codes are you getting?
