2004 LS V8 Ultimate. So far new front brake job including rotors at 39,000 miles (blame the wife)

New passenger side fog lamp bulb. Stock.
3rd set of wiper blades. Bought Bosch this time but heard stock is best. Total of unscheduled fixes equals about $500. Any others? Wish I had upgraded brakes and painted the calipers while they were easy to get too.

Sounds normal. I did my (2002) front brakes including rotors at around 60000 km, same distance as you. Lincoln (Lincoln Canada that is) paid for them, as well as the rear brakes at 75000 km. They also put on new wiper blades free. And transmission fluid flush. And all oil changes. I never spent a penny on that car except to fill the gas tank. Lincoln Canada takes care of almost anything except tires within the 4 year warranty.

My only unscheduled maintenance was an HID headlight kit from LSKoncepts, and some Sylvania Silverstar Highbeam bulbs. Neither 'required' but worth every penny!

Were the brakes covered under warranty? They were on my 2003 -- I never paid for any brake jobs while I owned that car. Not sure about the 2004 models, tho. Lincoln might have excluded that particular "wear item" after 2003.

Also, how are the rear brake pads? The rears seem to go before the fronts on the LS.

Sounds like routine maintenance to me. The wipers should be replaced every 6-12 months and 39K miles on modern brake compounds is quite good.

Rotors were considered abnormal wear and they actually were. Car was driven too long on worn pads. Rear pads are fine for now. Gonna have rechecked in about a couple of months or so.

Maintenance is minimal

LS V8 Sport - New York

I changed the front brakes and rotors at 59,000.
I just changed the stock Michelin at 64,000 because my state inspection would not have passed me, but I probably could have gone another 5-10K safely.
I've only had one lamp problem, rear brake lamp (cost $3.99) and I put it in myself.
Wipers are original and still do a great job.
Changed the serpentine belt (ouch expensive belt, easy job) at 65,000

Other than the usual oil change, air filter and a general inspection, I ain't complaining
