2005 Carlisle All-Ford Nationals, Friday June 3, 2005 through Sunday June 5, 2005.
This year's edition will feature a Boss Cars Reunion including Boss 302, 351 and 429 cars from all over the U.S. and Canada. We will also be celebrating the anniversary of Ford's German marque, the Merkur. Look for John "OldSchool" Dancy and Lynette "Mrs.OldSchool" Dancy to show their 1988 Lincoln Mark VII and 1976 Lincoln Mark IV respectively.

Most presenters have headed to their trailers/campers/hotels and we cam back to check on our tents and grab some stuff from the trunk. Joshua and Adam and Russ are showing Mark VIIs and Driller and some of the Lincolns Of Distinction crew are showing Mark VIII's.
I saw light rain ALL day.

Hey John do you have a Philly Sandwich for me!

First day of Wisconsin State Track and Field went fine. Not as good as hoped for but we are still happy.

Our Stud Sprinter Qualified for finals in the 400 m but missed the 100 m and the 200 m.

Today he has finals for he 400 m and will also compete in the Long Jump. This was a great year for him as he qualified in 4 separate individual events, a rare thing here in Wisconsin for one athlete.

Our other state qualifier in the 3200 m made a great attempt to capture the lead but was out classed.

Its around 6:30 am now and I am getting ready to head out soon.

Lincoln Mark VIIs at Carlisle, PA

Are there any Lincoln Mark VII owners reading this that are unaware of our efforts concerning Mark VIIs at the 2006 show?

In 2005, Lincoln Mark VII participation was at (I'm told) an all time high with about 20 cars. This was primarily due to plenty of advanced notice of the show dates, lots of Club activity, and plenty of Owners that just wanted a better parking space

Seriously though, a Carlisle winner himself, Bill "BMNLSC" drafted a letter to the Carlisle Staff, requesting splits in our class. They responded quickly noting that our concern "... has been placed in the Ford file for the new planner."

Having only one class for Lincoln Mark VII 1984-1992 S/M does NOT promote competition or originality or creativenes. Stock and Modified and Special Edition and Aftermarket should not have to compete with each other in the same class.

True, the Lincoln Mark VII was only produced for nine years, but the final product came in a BUNCH of flavors with:

six factory models,
Base
Bill Blass
Gianni Versace
LSC
Special Edition (no chrome)
Turbodiesel

three aftermarket models,
Convertible
GTC
Roadster

four different engines,
115 hp L Turbodiesel
140 hp F
200 hp M (1986-1987)
225 hp M (1988-1992)

and a list of standard and optional equipment that continues to surpass cars manufactured today. If you own a Lincoln Mark VII of any year, make, model, quality, or quantity, I'd like to hear from you directly or in this Forum.
