2005 CTS: replace tail lights?

How do I access the tail lights to replace 2 dead 'uns?

Inside of the trunk. remove the cargo net tie downs and then pull back the carpet on either side. I don't remember how many screws, but they are there.

Two nuts need to be removed, I believe. Whether they're nuts or bolts, the job is best done with a ratcheting socket wrench.
