Is this a plug and play install or do I need something else to make this work in my 2002?

not plug and play. you would need a 2000-2002 cd player, and it has to be alpine > alpine or non-alpine > non-alpine.

I have a 2002 Cd player; so you're saying it would work?

my bad...let me clarify...2000-2002 will interchange easily. the 2003+ will not work on the early models without a lot of wiring skill.

Got it! Thanks for the information. I guess some type of aftermarket system is in order. I now have the bug for navigation.
