So I finally got myself a LS. I found a pretty good deal on craigslist for a black 2005 with 180,000 km's. The private owner had it listed for $4995 for about a month already and a friend who is also a LVC forum member came across it and said I should go check it out.. With in the first two minutes of seeing it the passenger door all of a sudden would not close(turned out the latch was not hooked up lol?). There was a tiny burn mark in the driver seat along with broken side mirror and broken map light storage lid. We ran through the OBD through all the cycles and nothing, not one red flag. The parking brake light is on which I believe its just the little module needs to be replaced. So after taking it on the highway and dropping some knowledge on this guy about these car's I offered him $3,000 and the guy took it. I replaced the front rotors, brakes and pins myself and going to do the rear as well. I found a good interior restoration guy on craigslist to fix the burn in the seat for pretty cheap and I have a pretty good steamer and will do the dash and carpet myself which is already in really good condition but who knows what this guy was up too in there lol. Ive attached some pictures and will be updating constantly as the project goes along. - MysticMac

the parking brake issue is probably not a bad module. mine has done that twice but it hasnt done it in like 3 yrs. theres at least two diff ways to make it go away. the first time: one way worked one time and the other didnt... the second time: the other way worked.
off the top of my head i cant remember what the prcedure is. but its posted somewhere for sure and its relatively easy.
i do know this: when someone disconnects and reconnects the battery the car will <usually> prompt the driver to engage the parking brake and if the driver fails to do it the light will come on and you may lose the ability to use the parking brake until you either disconnect the battery and conenct again or follow the procedure that i said i cant remember off the top of my head

hey i have a set of hids that i will probably re-finish in the next week or so if youre interested. i dont know for sure if you will need to wire anything or not.. i want to say they are plug and play but dont quote me on that.
