Does anyone know if a 05 v6 to 04 v8 swap is a direct fit or not?

I've found a nearly perfect 2005 v6 that needs a motor. I want to know if my v8 from the 2004 will fit with little trouble?

No, it won't.
It won't bolt to the transmission.
The PCM won't know how to control it.
Anything can be done, but many things are not practical.
You'd have to swap the transmission, the PCM, much of the wiring, and the instrument cluster. Once you did all that, the suspension wouldn't be perfectly right either.
