2006 HID headlights

Has anyone made an attempt to installing a set HID's out of a 06 into
an non-HID 02 LS?

NEED SOME HELP HERE GUYS ...thanks!!!

I know the header panel under the headlights needs to be changed out.
How about the wiring? How about the ballast? ....if I'm not mistaken they
are attached to the headlight it self?

The 03+ HID have the ballast built into the headlight unit.
 
Thats a good subject ( I think ). Do the wires plug into the harness of the 1st Gen or do they need to be spliced into the wires on the harness of the 1st Gen?

Sorry, someone else will have to answer that. I know that the HID units plug right in on Gen II cars, but have never seen tyhe setup on Gen I cars.
 
From past experience on other cars I would imagine being the same plugs, aka 9006 I believe, should be direct fitment as far as plugs go. May need to add a bigger fuse or something but I doubt it? Anybody?
