I have these from my 98 towncar that I sold and I'm considering putting them on a set of continental rims. Anybody see a problem with doing this, the overall diameter is 27.2" Additionally they start out at 14/32 tread depth and have well under 3K miles on them. The current ones are michelin symmetries 225 60 16" 26.5 overall diameter with 10/32 of tread depth initally.

also does anybody know what year rims fit the 97 continental, also 93 taurus sho rims 16" wouldn't fit it would they?

the tires should do just fine (a set of 4 I assume). the speedo may be off a tiny bit, but not enough to justify not using them in my opinion.

Not sure what wheels will fit the 97 conti, cant help ya there.

I know there are site (vendors probably ) that can list the bolt patter/offset for each of them, and as long as the bolt pattern is the same, with a compatible offset, you will be golden.

yup its a set of 4, ok i'll have to check around then to verify what rims would fit besides the 97 rims. I thought the 95-02 conti rims would all fit but i want to be sure.

snow tires

Hi! From my personal experience (10 years with my 98 Conti), 4 snow tires will put you in the league of all-wheel and 4 wheel drive cars. Tirerack.com (the best source of any tire fitament questions) put me into these tires (see pix).

Well I got the tires mounted on continental rims just like mine and after the shop switched the 2 rims they mounted on the wrong side, it stopped its right pull and I was happy. Just like on my previous car a 98 towncar they ride and handle great.
