22" rims on the mark?

I was thinking about puttin some huge rims on my car. What do you guys think of some 22's or 23's?
 
i do not know about 22s or 23s. i think... i am not 100% sure that is why i am saying i think, you might have alil clearance trouble near the wheel well. there is a chance that you might have to cut the wheel well. you might want to check with someone who knows this better than me. but i think it might work but i would not want to cut anything on my car to fit rims. good luck bro!

As long as the wheel offset, overall tire diameter, and tire width, does not change from stock, you will have no clearance issues. Now, performance issues is another story. You will notice a loss in acceleration, and a loss in braking performance. It shouldn't be drastic, but it will be noticeable. If you wanna do it, go ahead. It is your car, and your money. Do what you want.

HEY! good one! I posted a thread in the mark vii section and nobody has responded. And then i post this meaningless thread and i get three replies in less than a half an hour. I actually need some help. Me and my brother are doing a five speed swap in his mark vii and we need to know if anything is missing that we need. There is a list of parts. If anyone could take a peek and maybe help out it would be appreicated.
 
Probably not gonna work on the front. Maybe on the rear with rubber band tires...

It would look sick IMHO. Something like this maybe???

Twankies are alright. I dont like that style of rim. Twanky Twanks would be sweet though.
 
I think it has the potential to look good, but is hard to do. With 22" rims on your car right now, it'll be sitting so high it'll just look retarded. If you could somehow do it so the wheels are very nicely tucked under the wheel well and still have the car sit nice and low and all that.... then we're talkin. But that may be very hard to do with all the clearence/rubbing issues also.

Oh sheezy! thats terrel's car! That is one DOPE gen 2! I think Ill prolly just settle with 18"s if i can find them.
