i dont know your level of severity u still face palming people in this day and age the question was can it be done or not if u could help cool if u cant then hush appreciation

Hush ... right on, Huggy this is not the right forum for you if you are thinking of balling with 22's on your LS.

Thing is, your going to be going through a lot of dollars reworking all sorts of suspension and steering components if you are going to go ahead with your plan.

Also, asking what rim size you'll need to fit them 22's ... well, unless it's the width you wanted to know, the answer would have been 22"

Don't do it man ... will look stupid and won't last. Think more along the line of 18 or 19's 20 is very possible but ... ball joints, tie rods etc ...

Ok, let's try it this way,
With 22's you're going to wreck sh!t,
This LS is not designed to run on such large wheels for very long. Sure you could roll the fenders and bolt them on but it's what's going to break because of the oversized wheels.

... plus, we kinda frown upon it.
But hey, your LS, your choice, as always.

plus i might add im giving my son this car for his graduation this year its not about the money i just wanna make him happy for his day i know i will be

Here you go huggy:

Rim & Tire Size Calculator. Custom Offsets

Play with this, and you will see how this car is not a good choice for that large of a rim. I am concerned about the Jaguar 19's I am looking at - but know several have done that size so should be ok. Just tire size starts to suck. The 22's are just so many steps removed from the cars design it will cause issues - even if they get under there.

Google search your LS stock rims to get the specs for the input, then you can play with the aftermarket rims for the output.

10-4 ... didn't think it was offensive but all good.

IF your going to try to squeeze dub deuces on this car, start by finding the skinniest ones you can, don't even try to do staggered fitment, the offset will need to be as close to the OEM wheels as possible.

you will also need to go with the lowest profile tire you can find. this will be such a thin tire that it will ride terribly and hopefully your roads are much better around you than they are near me (or darn near anywhere I've been to up and down the east half of the US) cause any potholes are just going to blow out the tires and probably crack a wheel every time you hit one.

then you will need to find out how much you will need to lift the car up so that the rubbing will at least be minimized so that the tires are not getting shredded every month and hopefully the fenders don't get blown out or crushed right off of the car first time it goes up or down a small incline while turning. long story short, they don't make lift kits for this car so unless you are an amazing fabricator, any way you choose to lift the car will most likely make it fairly unsafe. but hey, at least it will look cool, right?

also as far as looks go, hopefully you pick some ungodly heavy and mostly closed off design, because with wheels that big, it just looks silly with those tiny brakes stuck back there, kinda like the guy who misses leg day.

on top of all that, enjoy a poor ride, worse gas millage, worse acceleration, worse braking, and having to replace all the suspension parts about as regular as oil changes as nobody makes heavy duty versions and all that added stress is just going to beat the components up like they owe them money.

and you really shouldn't be surprised with all of the resistance to help on this subject, here we like to try to help preserve what few LSs are still on the road, not destroy them bit by bit.

better advise would be, if you really want to hood up a car, to buy a car better suited for such. for instance, as chargers and 300s come from the factory with 20"s they are already built to better handle it as its not such an insane jump up in size. on top of that, the much larger wheel wells will actually fit dub deuces with no problems, hell you don't even have to lift the car to keep it from rubbing and slicing tires, and you can actually still have a reasonable amount of side wall on the tire so its still kinda comfortable to ride around in.

Rigs...

What kinda sled? I had a Safari 300 for a while. Decent fun ride without giving a person whiplash,,, or scaring the pants off a person.

Glad to see Rollin still perusing the threads.... off topic, but you plan to rise another LS from the Ashes? Perhaps a gen II. :)

Cuz I'm nutty like that.

You ain't seen nutty. Should have seen me 30+ years ago. I'd have scared the pants off you back then if you were along for the ride. I got witnesses to that fact!!! A couple of them are still cautious about riding in a car with me. Had them in tears decades ago.

You ain't seen crazy,,, until a woman has driven you crazy!!! Nuff said??? Sadly... some of my friends were along for the ride at the time. Again... nuff said??? ???:mad::(:D
