I'm about to get some new tires for my 04 v8 and I'm want to get the 255/45/17 for a more aggressive look and not some much backspace. But I'm also contemplating lowering on eibachs. Would there be enough space when lowered?

yes. i'm running 255/45/18's on cut springs, which will be lower than eibachs and i
have zero issues.

Isn't a 255/40 closer to the stock size? You want to stay within a couple percent of the stock diameter to keep your speedometer close to accurate. 1010tires.com has a nice tire size calculator.......

Closer to stock diameter*

Just misworded a bit.

255/40/18 is 0.85% (less than 1%) off. 255/45 is 3% off. Go with the 40s unless you correct it with a tuner
