275/40-17 Tire Question ?

I understand a few members are running 275/40-17 tires on MK8's (front and rear). Did you have to make any modifications to make them fit ? I'm thinking of going with the Kumho ECSTA SPT Ultra High Performance Summer Radial.

running 275's front and rear on the 95' and the 98' with no problems.

Never heard of anyone running a 275MM tire and NOT having to roll the rear fenders to keep from rubbing.

Depending on the offset of the wheel makes or breaks the setup.

I'm running 36MM offset wheels, and hankook tires. No fender mods, and NO rubbing issues what so ever.
