I know it is fairly prevalent with the 2nd Gens to accumulate moisture in the headlights. I just didn't think it would happen to me. Anybody ever take a headlight apart, dry it out and reseal it? Any tricks? I do appreciate any responses or ideas to fix this.

Im not familer with 90's marks at all. But I'm sure this procedure would be basically the same as cleaning the lights on a TC. Check out www.lincolnsonline.com. There is an article there which should help you.

Take out the housing out of the car, take out the HID bulb, dry it out with a hair dryer, put it back in. Or you can buy a new assembly for $200 from FPN with the bulb included and then splice in the wires, keeping the old ballast. This way you'll have a spare bulb.

I love it when Gen II owners are complaining about their headlights ... LOL

speakin condinsation ...

did you buy ur mark 8 LSC yet?
or u still lookin?

hmm, well just before leaving the dealer lot almost after purchasing my 1998 LSC almost 2 yrs ago... :L ,i told them to change both head lights on mine ,mine had condinsation, plus alil yellowed ;/..so next time eye ball the "whole car" look at your lights before leaving the lot or makin that purchase...do a through look over...don't be afraid to ask them... make a deal with them, due to the fact it's a defect thru the manufacture, some headlites are good, and some come messed up...so it looks like me and u got the bad ones;/...but just so u know...you might not get back your original one which were on the car.
i was looking forward to getting them as for a back up's,just incase one of them blow out..but a deal is a deal i guess.
