A fun little stop light action on the way home from school today...i pull up to a 4 lane light, and these two civics are revin at each other to my left, and i figgure ill just pounce on em for fun, and then some 80's vette pulls next to me on my right, and revs at me. Well, ready for a race, i bounce on it. The civics were in the dust, but the vette and me are quite close. i let off to let him merge in but it was close, ill give him the win though. First 4 lane race iv ever been in, it was fun.

Just sharin.

Sounds like your havin' fun with the new tranny. I hate to sound like the paternal unit here, but BE CAREFUL. I don't want to see anyone hurt due to a race gone bad.

I'm not saying I don't do it, but PLEASE be aware of your surroundings and look FAR down the road.

this is a true story. back in NY i was in my buddy jacks 94 mark, and my other friend and his brother were in his 87 corvette convertable. we were just cruising at around 40ish, then they both gave each other a look, and they both punched it. let me tell you something. the mark and vette were next to each other until about 100 something mph. then the vette slowly pulled, that had to be one of the mintest races i had ever been apart of as a passanger!

:I Yeah we street race but here in Kansas we just go out in the country away from traffic where there isn't so much as a cow in sight for miles.

That is pretty coo! About a month ago I stoped next to a S55 Mercedes and I was in my Auburn and we reved and we were real close, but I backed out of it @ 50mph which is only 5 over the limit! I felt real good that I was able to keep up with him and I'm quite sure that he as well as you are wondering what I have under the hood of my, 1936, Auburn, Speedster Botail replica!

wow, very very nice run! you stuck with him pretty good off the line. what year vette was that a 90? nice video JP!

oh yeah man, DEFINATLY! thats what i always say to my buddies, make sure there is nothing, besides the act of god, that could possibly make you regret it. There is nothing stupider than ruining a lifetime for 10-15 seconds of fun.

Thanks. I'm not a 'vette' guy, but I think early 90's would be a good guess. That vid was from last year at an eighth mile track. Traction there was usually awful, so the heavier Mark ran well against most opponents. While they would have to feather it off the line, I would just mash it and go! :steering
