well its kinda like this other guys thread but a lil diff. has nothing to do with our cars.

I have two guys racing and I'm tryin to figure out who to put my money on...



Car #1
2001 Honda Accord 2 doors:
Turbo
Nos
Rear wheel drive
17 inch rims
"everything done"
supposedly running around high 10's....

Car #2
1988 Nissan 240
Turbo
Nos (I believe)
Boosting 24 Psi
Concidered one of the fastest Nissans around.. sleeper car
he's gonna come in with 18 Psi and run it once to warm up the tires.. then he will change it.. i believe he has that CPU thing that was in Fast n furious.. (not big speed guy)

Its a three thousand dollar bet for the drivers and each say their goin to spank each other.. they both seem very confident.. enough to make a side bet with me.. i'm making 300$ for setting up the race.. so I may jus turn around and bet half or all back to the person i think will win..


My question for u all is this.. who should i put my money on? is there anything else I should ask about mods?

Have you seen the honda run before? Are you sure it's rear wheel drive??
 
no such thing as a rear drive Honda, unless he dumped HUGE $$$$$ into it to convert it. I had a 240sx myself that was turboed. It will destroy the LS stay away from it. 2400LBS with 400 rear wheel HP.
 
there is just WAY too much missing info.

what engine was used in the Honda to start with? how much boost? how much NOS?

same goes for the Nissan (although you list boost).

I just checked sr20forum.com and only 3 people have gotten below 11 secs (none of which are 240s), so if that Accord can seriously do 10s (which I doubt), then bet on it.
 
i ws told the honda dropped mad money into it.. swapped everything and converted it to rear wheel.. i havent seen it.. but if the guy has 3grand and is willing to go against anything i throw at him.. im sure he spent big money on it

i dont think he would bother spending the $ on converting it...otherwise hed prolly go buy one of them lexus'
 
I gonna call shanagins on this REAR WHEEL DRIVE HONDA.....I have never seen or hear dof this and I know lots of honda racers....Finda out what motor the honda has a how much boost....I know the 240 (if its an sr20 and not a k20_ can be well over 400 hp) that is one of the best if not the best nissan motor(well people like the rb motors_) but need more info

Missing Driver experience, I have seen people dump mad money into a car and can not drive it to its potential.

Example:

I owned an 1999 Mustang GT (Stock), and ran a 13.88 once. I also ran around 14.0-14.3, on any given day and track conditions and the human factor of course.

Most people with the same car.. and me would run anywhere from 14.5-14.7. I am not saying, I am the S**t. I just knew how to drive my car to its potential when conditions where right.

The same hold true for my buddy's in his 2003 Corbra... or is it 04.. oh well cannot remember, he know his car and kills a lot of supposidely faster cars in heads up racing.

I have seen rear wheel drive Honda... but there drag cars ($$$$) Hey, there is even kit for the Focus from Ford.

it's not the car that matters! It's the driver, you can have the fastest car on the street but if the driver don't know how to use it then it aint worth S***T

go with the guy that is more seasoned in racing.
 
well not to tease u but it didnt happen... the 240 has slicks and cant race it.. also he has a problen.. something about having too much power.. he would lose in the 1/4 mile, but if they start at 40 and run it.. he says it will spank it.. he said he will retune and get tires to race.. i'll take pics of whatever if true
