Hello,

I am having problems finding the torque specs for the "bed plate" that caps the main bearings.
There are 3 sets of bolts, the largest sit in the center and are black, then there is a set next to them smaller, then a set running the outer edge.

I removed the bed plate to have the mounts on the side re-welded and threaded due to damage.

I have purchased Chilton online, and also alldatadiy, neither of them show those specs. Please help!!

I also would be looking for pattern of correct torque instructions.

The service manual also does not cover this.
Best bet would be looking for some Jag AJ27 documentation as it /really should/ be the same, but can't guarantee.
Let me know what you'll find - I'm thinking about building a new drivetrain for the 200k mile anniversary of my '02! :D

I don't remember the spec, but I used ARP studs and nuts and asked them for their recommendation. 800 826 3045

Just looked through my service manual and it is hard to believe that they have the info for the 3.0 in there but not the 3.9 . So where do the service techs get their info ?

I don't think that Ford dealers ever did any work on the block, other than replacing it. It makes sense that the V6 has service info. It's a Ford engine and is used in other cars.
