so, looking into a 350 3/4 race motor for my monti carlo, and i was wondering what do you think the best exhaust diameter would be for somthing like that? my guess is 2-1/4" up to 3", duels

2.5"......anything above that, unless you have like 600HP it over kill.

My dad's Chevelle has over 400 and right now he is running 2.25" and it breaths fine. We WILL be going with 2.5" in the very near future, but we have other more important things to do first. :Beer

Your exhaust depends on the engine and its power. We run a 850hp 494 BBC in the Nova and that has 3 inch for an example.
