I have a 4R70W improvement kit for sale. This kit was made by Factory Tech as part of a shift kit I had purchased from them. I have already installed Motorcraft 1-2 and 2-3 improved pistons in my 1996, so I have no use for these.
The kit is unused and includes:
1-2 shift accumulator piston.
2-3 shift accumulator piston.
1-2 shift spring.
The valve body seperator gaskets.
Here is a photo of what you get. The gaskets are not pictured, but included:
Install these parts, leave out the OEM 2-3 spring, leave out the OEM blue 1-2 spring (if you like very aggressive shifts), drill a couple holes in the seperator plate according to the TCCoA article, fill with Mercon V, and you've just done the J-Mod. Highly recommended for any 4R70W made before 1998.
