I have a rebuilt transmission from a 1994 Cougar for sale. It was rebuilt by Certified Trans about 38K miles ago. It is complete and includes the torque converter & harnesses. The only thing you would need to make this work in a 1997-1998 Mark VIII is a Thunderbird/Cougar flexplate. $225 + Shipping.

Uh, no. Sold it over a year ago.

I do have a working trans from a 1993. Quite a few miles on it, but it drove fine. It will need a new MLPS as it got broken during removal. I'd sell it for $80 if you want to make the drive over from Ames.
