6.5 in doors

Hey Guys:

Anyone have 6.5 in the front doors? Did you use a bracket of some kind, and if so from where did you get it. I got a set of Polk Audio's I took out of my 95 Z28.

yep. I ended bulding a spacer and a 5x7 trim plate. Had to use the spaced cause i decided i wanted to be able to roll the windows down without busting em..lol. .. on the backside of the component magnet.. But they do install. I also had to cut some of the plastic around the speaker cutout to clear the cone, and plastic on the backside of the door panel so it wouldn't smash the surround on the cone when the door was snapped back into place..
