75 Town Car Question

Hi...Just a quick question...I have been looking at Town Cars on Ebay, and I am curious about something. On the side of the air filter there is something that looks like an oil filter. What is it?

Smog control device is what I was told.

Does it kinda look like a Coffee can?? If it does, it is a smog control device. They have not used them in ages. They contain Charcoal I beleive.

no, the coffee cans are vacuum. this looks like an oil filter, mounted on the side of the air cleaner

Yes! I know what you mean....mostly 460 V8 had with an oil filter, mounted on the side of the air cleaner! I have seen it many times.
