79 lincoln continental/mark v

I have a 79 continental/mark v and I was wanting to know if you can remove the vynil top and whats under it. Would I have to patch any holes.

yes you can remove it and the roof would look like any other mark v with out a vinyl roof. as for holes, unless there has been water leaking under the vinyl you should have no holes. about all you should find is whole bunch of 30+ year old dried up glue and foam to get rid of. if you find rust you'll have to address that issue but if no rust you should be ok. scott
