The mark7 came with an AOD that has a Lockup converter. THe AOD has a 2 pc input shaft with one large input splined to the converter turbine (aka turbine shaft) and also has a inner input shaft (aka lockup shaft) that dirrectly controls 3/4 gear in lockup. This shaft is splined to the front hub of the converter and acts as a 1:1 ralationship to RPM. which sucks.
You can purchase a NON lockup converter that splines the lockupshaft with the turbine and allows you to have torque multiplication list 1/2 gears.
You can also order a 1pc input shaft that is very heavy duty - but requires a custom converter (TCI is a example)
