I have a question please.
Regarding a 1987 Lincoln Town Car and its charcoal canister.
Two hoses connected to it, one of them is totally rotted.
Its the one that connects to the manifold vacuum.
Problem is, that hose that is rotted and leaking goes under the phlenum.
No way will I remove that, I only hope that the vacuum line simply goes under it and comes out the other end by the firewall so I can trace it.
Can someone here please tell me exactly where this vacuum line leads to so I can replace it.
Lastly, can I use plain vacuum tubing, or does it have to be a more resistant fuel line hose that I use ? And what size hose ?
Could this leak be why I no longer hear the "hissing" sound when the gas cap is removed ???
Thanks so much.
PS......... Why Lincoln stuck hoses and wires under the phlenum where you cant reach them is a real mystery !!!
