I thought I was smart and figured out a 9005 bulb would work in place of a 9145 bulb for the fog lights. Then I searched and saw a lot of other people knew this too. Anyways, I didn't see any pics with the difference between the two bulbs so I took one. The passenger side has a Wagner 9005 lazer blue bulb (about $7.00 at NAPA) and the drivers side is the standard 9145 bulb. A question though, are the fog light adjustable (ex: up, down, or side to side)?

I know on the 02 they are, on mine there is a screw (phillips) that will move them up or down. It is located very close to where the bulb socket is on the fog.

The biggest difference between the 9005 and 9145 bulbs is that the 9145 bulb has a painted tip. This is to reduce glare. I can tell from your picture that the 9005 produces glare and may blind oncoming traffic. All fog light assemblies have an adjustment feature. You can adjust them as needed.

i've been running 9005 for some time and never been flashed. maybe because my hid's don't hit drivers as much??? dunno
