Hi everyone,

On my 91 TC I'm having an intermittent / momentary power losses, while driving, and it's only present on a hot engine.

What could be the cause - faulty EGR, IACV, PCV ?
What else?

Did anyone experience similar stuff?

:W to :V :Beer I am curious about this issue also i have a 91 Town Car.

I will replace PCV, IACV, disconnect EGR valve and try to play with different EDIS module next week, so will report here, whether it's gonna help.

I have a 1991 Town Car with 82,000 miles and have never had that problem. However, my mom's 1996 Saturn SL1 would do exactly what your talking about.

Here's how I fixed it. Remove the EGR Valve and clean out its passages with Carb cleaner, if you have a really old can DON'T use it as it might not be friendly and eat your part. Just buy a new can for 2-3 bucks. Spray it and let it soak. Work the piston on it up and down but don't spin it. Then I used Qtips to clean the inside passage. Make sure all of the Qtip is out and then use compressed air to dry out the EGR valve. Wait for complete dry (5 mins.) and put it back on. These are instructions to what I did on her Saturn, but the basics are all the same.

NOTE - If your's is real dirty you may end up having to clean the EGR Valve on more than one occasion until the car works the crap out of its system.

Took 2 cleanings and now it hasn't had to be cleaned for 20,000 miles.
