hello, i have a 91 towncar. the forward/backward, up and down functions of the driver seat have quit working. i have checked the fuses in the interior, and under the hood. all appear to be fine. (i will go and double check again) i have any extra switch for the door panel and changed it out to see if that may be it. but it still doesn't work. also the memeory seat buttons do not work. they did when the seat moved, but not now. any ideas where to start what may be wrong? the passenger seat works fine.

Motor is probably gone. You can go pull one and it'll probably work.

also is there a good way the test the motor? certain wires you can jump or test etc?

As far as i know one motor controls all functions, i have a 91 TC as well.

Take the seat out and you can test it out. As far as the way you're looking to test... i dont think so. Maybe a multimeter somehow...

Actually, there are three motors for the 6 way movement (forward, reverse, front and rear tilt) and one more motor for the power recline (if equipped)

That said it's highly unlikely they all went bad at the same time, you probably have a power issue - specifically 30 amp CIRCUIT BREAKER in the engine compartment fuse box ;) (swap with a 30 amp fuse just to test)

Also re-check fuse 17 10amp on interior panel

ok, i checked them before.but will check again. the passenger side works? isnt ehrer just one fuse, and relay that controls both sides?
