Hello,

New forum member here. I recently purchased a pretty sweet 1994 Mark VIII. I owned a 1997 at one time, but for whatever reason, I had to part with it since I probably needed the money! Both cars were are two of the finest automobiles I have ever owned. For stock, they are fast as greased lightning. I never had a need for parts with my 1997 because I owned it for only a short time. The 94 I bought has got several front suspension issues. The struts were replaced about two years ago along with the upper and lower control arms (new bushings too). The stabilizer links look wore out. The stabilizer bar is in good shape, but the bushings look like they need to be replaced. It looks like the radius arm bushing is bad. The car clunks, rattles, bumps all the time. My problem is locating parts without going to the dealer. I know I probably will wind up getting them from a dealer, but was wondering if anybody knew of a good parts source i.e., front end suspension parts and components. Although my air ride system has not thrown a code and it appears to be in good shape with no cracks or rotten parts, I can't tell whether it is functioning or not. The right rear sits lower than the left. Does the air system automatically level the car when it is parked on something other than a level surface? Alot to digest here, hope somebody can chime in!!

Thanks,

Jim

Please use stock strut rod bushings, aftermarket parts from MOOG have issues and will not last 100k miles like the OEM stuff. It will run about $130 to do both sides for both bushings at frame 2x (F3LY-3A187-A $58.42) and at control arm 4x (E9SZ-3A140-A $4.87)

I believe my strut mount bushings are fine. Its the radial arm bushing I can't locate. Are these part numbers for strut bushings or radial arm bushings?

What's a radial arm ? I heard of people use the term radius arm bushings for sturt rod bushings though.

So is a radius arm bushing the same as a strut bushing? My front struts were replaced about two years ago. Sure hate to think the bushings are gone already.

Yes they are. Front struts have nothing to do with the replaced strut rods as they are not part of them.

Strut rods are what go from the front of the k member back to the lower A arm if you need to know what we are talking about dixie. There are 4 bushings on each rod. They are used to adjust Caster so once you replace them its probably a good idea to get it realigned.

Radius Arm not Radial Arm
