Hello-
The digital clock in our 1994 Town Car has started to give trouble. Some days the clock is totally dark and appears to be dead. But then it'll work fine for several days -- it will light up and keep time perfectly. Sometimes it's in between -- it'll be illuminated but the time will be way off (as if it might have lost power while the car was parked). Finally I stumbled on the fact that the clock can often be induced to start by either momentarily turning on the headlights or by switching the ignition switch to the Accessory position for a moment.
Does this sound like what it appears -- a bad clock module? Or is this possibly something else? The fact that the headlight switch or the ignition switch can be used to get the clock to light up bothers me. And before I tear the dash apart, I'd like to be pretty sure it's just the clock!
Any ideas?
John
