Is that the Full amount of Tranny Oil, whats in the Pan ?

Or is there a Drainplug somewhere hidden for another Oil-amount which is in the Converter ?

... like at the 1996 Mustang , where you have Oil - amount in the Pan and another Oil - amount in the Converter with a Drainplug there to let it out?

I believe they did away with the converter drain plugs a long time ago.
What I find odd is that there is no A/T dipstick. Lincoln claims there was no room to put one but I am sure a good engineer would be able to find a place for it.

Jake - you don't know what you are talking about. There is to a dipstick for the tranny. Near firewall left side. This is how the tranny is filled after a drain.

Whats in the pan is less than half of the capacity. If you do a fluid exchange roughly 99.9% change of fluid, sometimes called t-tech. It hooks into the in and out lines usually at the trans cooler and the vehicle itself draws the old fluid out and the new in. If you really want to change the trans filter you could do the pan drop change the filter then do a exchange of all the fluid.
