Hi Everyvone !

I have a 96er Continental 64.000 miles on it and have had a rough shifting experience. Just bought this car from an old Man, which had nerver done anny service to the Car, so i decided to change the Trannyfluid pretty fast !

Yesterday i went under the Conti and startet to remove the Tranny - Oilpan and was Wondering :

*********************************************************

1. )

Found a original Ford / Factory - Sticker on the outside of the Pan which told me :

DON´T SERVICE THIS TRANSMISSION

FORD - AX4N - EXCHANGE PROGRAMM

So what means that ???

Do i have a special AX4N in there which don´t needs a Service anymore ??

2.)

Also i didn´t found the Drainplug for the converter to get the OIl out what´s in there, we have looked every where? So just could change Filter and the 7 Bootles Tranny OIl whats in the Pan !

But anyway now after i change just the OIl what´s in the Pan it drive absolutly like a new one, with fantastic shiftresults!

Transmission was exchanged by ford at one time probably under warranty. Says not to service, that was for the ford techs so they wouldnt do the update that was already done in the exchange transmission. no drain plug in those torque converters. you did good to service it.
