This is not craigslist, that BS isn't gonna work here.

You got robbed if you paid that much for a spring conversion.

Good luck with sale.

o.p.: there are many rare '96 PARTS..... 96 marks are not rare.....pics or it didn't happen
----
$1700? was that by chance done at a stealership?

msrp of a 96 mark was about $39k i think. why did you pay 7 over that?? did this car have 7k in options? i didn't think so.. power windows/locks/seats etc were all standard.

motor was not used in Shelby GT cars.

premium chrome wheels? are they chrome 10 spokes?

$1700 for a spring conversion? wow... a conversion kit is $400.
pieced together, higher quality parts are more, but not that much more.

if it is an actual LSC, then that is a plus. will need to see the car to be sure. front seats too, they are different in an LSC.

mileage is reasonable, and the new parts are always good.
has the front suspension been rebuilt lately? at 150k, it'll be needing it soon.

service records are also a plus.

i don't think the cars will become collectible, but hell. clean, stock 89 Taurus SHOs have been sold for $10k somewhat recently. so who knows.

anyway, we know the cars, so don't try to pull a fast one.
and we aren't a classified site, so just posting a for sale ad is looked down upon.
stick around, tell us about this car, other cars you have, whatever. POST PICTURES. it will all help your sale here.

good luck with selling.

WOW $46K and no factory sun roof. My 98 CE's window sticker $42,815.00 including moonroof-$1515.00, GD opener,$120.00, heated seats,$290.00, CE Edition,$900.00, destination & delivery, $670.00. Either he's a salesman or the dealers favorite customer. What did the MKZ cost $120K?

How do I post pictures? Thanks.
there are a few ways, here's how I do it:
set up or use your existing acct on a site like Photobuckt
choose the photo to publish here and copy the 'link' address;
copy to your message here between
B]and[B]

so when you're editing it will look something like this:

Apology and clarification

I am sorry for the lack of pictures. I could not figure it out so I reposted the same ad.
Also, I am very impressed with this site. The quick responses - even though some questioned my info, such as:
  1. The price of the replacement of the air suspension was about $700.00. I looked at the invoice and the $1,700.00 include other work done. I just remembered that amount.
  2. The comment abou the engine being used in the Shelby was made by several mechanics and a man who worked on the the 96 Linciln MK VIII, LSC in Dearborn. I believe Shelby did some reworking such as making it 500 HP.
  3. I just wish I had known about this site over the years - it would have saved me a lot of trouble.
