96 Towncar Blend Door Intermittently Goes to Full Heat

I am having a problem with the climate control in my 1996 Town Car. The blend door intermittenly goes to full heat once in a while. I replaced the EATC control unit in the car, but that didn't solve the problem.

Any suggestions?
