Hi guys, this is my 1st post on LVC and it's a pretty simple one. I just purchased a 98 black LSC with tan interior, but ever since having my 98 cobra which was black on black i'm stuck on that color combo. Couldn't find any blk on blk Marks in decent shape so I went ahead with this one. Now my question.. How hard would it be to swap the entire interior (dash, door panels, seats, etc) out for black pieces? And how difficult do you believe it would be to hunt down these parts? Thanks in advance for any help provided.

First question, are you in Lakeland Florida? I'm in Lake Wales right now... Anyway, my car started out saddle inside, basically ugly. I started gathering up all the parts to swap them to black and painted my dash. Now, the swapping of pretty much all the parts once you find them is really easy. The harder part is finding those black parts, I peiced mine together over about maybe a year...? Found the carpet and some other assorted parts in a pullapart, got the seat covers, door panels, and seat belts from a forum member and dyed the dash. I am usually pretty particular about how stuff looks, but the dash has been painted for about 6 months now, and the match to the other parts is perfect and it looks as good, if not better than a true black dash. So to answer your question, the swap is easy, finding the parts may not be. Good Luck!

Check Dallas,Tx CL, there was a bunch of black Gen2 enterior parts for sale

I would buy either a parts car or another running car that you can swap the tan interior back into to sell. That way you have everything you need all at once.

Interior swaps are fun and I didn't mess with my dash but black and grey kinda go together pretty good. Finding your black interior shouldn't be too bad but it might take some time. Patience pays off when waiting on a part. Luckily I had a 94 black on black to play with and a 93 black on black.

Personally I can say that without doing the dash, it took me all day to remove and replace everything. It's not a job that I would want to do everyday but now that I have done it, I could do it much quicker but it ain't happenin. I got what I want and I ain't changing it again.

Yes, I am located in lakeland. I'd like to ask where you bought the dash paint from and how hard was it to do? Also does anyone know of any forum members that might have any pieces I need for sale?

I have a complete black interior from the headliner to the carpet. The car it came out of had a moonroof. I want to sell everything as a package. PM me if interested.
