While out driving to the local 1/4 mile track, a "check transmission" message popped up and the O/D light began to blink at a steady and constant rythm. I can swith O/D off or on with no problem. When I shut the car down and start it back up, the message clears and all seems well. The tranny shifts fine and there is no noticeable vibrations/shudders. The check message will pop up at varying distances and speeds. This will happen with O/D on or off. The car drives nice outside of of the check transmission message and O/ D light blinking.

The rebuilt tranny has about 22k miles on it. Being from the "break it good camp," I floored it with the message displayed from a rolling stop, at 60+ and from a dead stop, no issues. The car moves nice when the ambient temp is 60ish.

Earlier in the day I topped off the tranny w/ Castrol's Mercon III compatible. The dipstick had a little trace of fluid at the bottom of the stick. I filled it to halfway up the "H" marker, and hopped on it down the street. After returning home I double checked the stick and it was were I had filled it too. I had the car serviced for a oil change and lube @1500 miles back and the shop didn't tell me of any leaking issues. I had tightened the tranny bolts after I had gotten it about two months ago. I have no tranny markings in the driveway.

For theose who believe in " is she getting enough attention" I have recently completed -Upper A-arms, front struts, dryer, sensor lowered, AIC and A/C blend door.

Any thoughts or like experiences?

A little bit more to the puzzle; verified the check tranny message pops up around 38 mph. Sounding like a torque converter lock up issue. However after purchasing a spendy code reader/scanner, the issue has seemed to go away. I haven't checked codes yet. Anyone with knowledge of the hows and whys of T/C lockup, I would appreciate some input.
