i have a 97 continental and here is the problem im having when im driving i cant feel anything it drives fine no hesitation can be felt at all but when i come to a stop the engine kinda jerks a bit or maybe bumps is the word that would describe what it does i have read somewhere it is prolly a vaccum leak in the brake booster line or even the booster itself cause it only does this when at a stop any ideas.

how many miles on engine, how long since last plug change, ect...
one thing to do, is get the codes pulled... even without a check engine light, there may be codes... and if there are any, they can help us point you the right way.
While I don't have this vintage lincoln, or a ton of knowledge about them, I understand they have some common problems that can cause what your describing... thats why we need a little more info.
