98 at Henry Fords home

My wife and I took a short trip to Henry Fords home in Dearborn Michigan.
I took a couple shots of the Mark outside. The house had a early day central vacuum system. Also a closet that was cooled for her furs among many other things.

That house is amazing. Car looks like it belongs their.

We have the wingford estate out by our house in beards hills, about 10 years ago it was the Ford Estate, 779 acres with 10ft razor wire fence around the whole property with their own dam on the black river. Ford's use to have some serious money, every time we try to take a tour of the old ford estate, the DNR chases us for some reason

I found out an interesting fact the other day: Apparently, Henry Ford and his brother in law invented charcoal briquettes and founded the Kingsford company.

I would not be surprised. The man was very intelligent !
He also consrtucted a 300 ft tunnel going from his powerhouse/lab/garage to his house that was part of the tour.

Thanks these cars are awesome ! The tour giude was kind of rushing us... small crowd. Need to go back and also need to visit Edsels house.. Very interesting.. Even my wife enjoyed it. I have a great wife !!!
