98 Conti Electric problems

My 1998 Lincoln Continental has sporadic problems with electric. The windows, compass, locks and radio don't always power up when I start the car.

The weird thing is, if I turn the heat up and drive for about 15 minutes, suddenly everything powers up.

aagh.

any help?
