98 mark viii 03 cobra terminator seats

Hello, im new to this website, i have been enjoying going over many topics.
I have bought a lincoln mark viii for a future project i have in mind but for the meantime i have some ideas and plans for it. I have a very nice set of 2003 cobra terminator seats (black and grey) i will be attempting in installing in the next week or so, i will be adding pictures and instructions as i go along. I did a search for similar swaps but cannot find a thing, if anyone has any ideas or suggestions feel free to share, at the moment i am not sure wich frame rails i will be using for this project, mustang power rails or the lincolns.

Thanks and like i said feel free to share ideas, give suggestions, opinions or maybe bump a link my way.

Yes it had a vinyl top. I just had to take it off, it was so bad to look at.

no idea on mustang seats, i expect a fair amount of reworking on the mounts. i do not believe they are a bolt in or anything.

how did the paint look under the vinyl top?

The paint was bad and peeling by the lower side of the window. Roof had holes in it had sheetrock screws to hold it down. I just cant belive someone probably payed to have a car look ugly.

yeah the paint is usually pretty bad underneath. sucks. they are quite ugly.

If I were going to try and do this, i would try and use the Mark VIII seat track. The seat cushions are attached to a plastic frame which is then bolted to the seat track. I would imagine that the Cobra seats might be similar. Obviously, it would be much easier to figure out the best option if I had them sitting here in front of me...

98lincmk7lsc - thanks for your opinion, i will defenetly consider it. I hope by tomorrow i will at least be able to remove the passager seat from the car and put it side by side next to the cobra, i will take a few pictures and mesurements and post back up on here.
