Anybody use the conversion to passive shocks vs the elec sens struts that are stock? Like strutmasters. Mine are going bad and $2k to repl is crazy! Parts alone are 1.5k from GM and not much less anywhere else... appreciate input from anyone who has converted.

Thanks

try looking for rebuilt ones.. i dont have a caddy, so i havent looked into it.. but check out strutmasters.com or arnottindustries.com . i used arnott to get the bags for my last town car and they were good to deal with..

ya i know what you mean, i have to replace all 4 of my dampers and since they are air, i was quoted 960.81 a damper at GM. I was thinking sport shocks of some kind, but dont know how nice they will ride compared to the smoothness of the air rides since i like that cloud riding feeling.

any answers compared to the sport shock vs. air ride? :feedback

I'll let you know... I'm repl all 4 with passive system from Strutmasters this week. $500 for 4 struts plus install... Less for entire job than one strut from GM...

ya tell me how that goes...i took a trip to LA this weekend and now my OBD is telling me to service ride control... so its probably a good bet im going in for the same thing you just did.

keep me posted how differently the car rides compared to that "float on a cloud" feeling when driving and the handling. Are the shocks your putting in also air rides?
