98 to 99

[KC96LSC]

I bought a 98 4r70w(i thought). Figured out it was a 97. So I keep looking and found a 99 out of a Lincoln Town Car with 58,000 $400. Is there anything different from the 99 than 98. Any installation issues. I would appreciate any insight.

'99+ 4r70w's are stronger... upgraded one-way clutch.

EDIT: If this is going into a '96... I think you're going to need to do some connector re-pinning, nothing too drastic though.... I think it was '98 when they switched to a circuit board inside the trans....

more responsive shifting,kinda like a partial jmod.you will love it.
