Thats right folks, there is about to be a new breath of life in my 94' who's intermediate clutch blew up! I was able to find a 98' transmission with 65k miles for $400, and thats the absolute best I can do! But the real reason I'm posting is to ask some questions:

What do I need to know about putting a 98 trans in my 94 (or rather, what does my mechanic need to know since he'll be doing this)? I know some transmissions require a wiring job, but I thought that most of these were off of another car, like a Mustang or something.

Anyway, this goes out to anyone that has done this swap or is very knowledgable about the whole process because I'd like to have a working transmission as soon as possible with no more problems!

you have to rewire the pinout, check tccoa for that, and switch over your old MLSP, TCC, and i thing that is it

Are you going to have him do a shift kit in this one at least?
I think I'm going to hold off on the shift kit until me and someone I trust can go in there and do it ourselves. Thats the only way I can be sure its done correctly because nobody around here seems to be familiar with Bauman.

Thanks for the info, I will check out Tccoa.com and get those wiring instructions to my mechanic. Much appreciated.
